Hot Power Yoga - All Levels*

This class is taught by:

Janel Duross

Janel is inspired numerous forms of movement by integrating dance, tai chi, calisthenics and animal flow with yoga to inspire another level of body sense and breath.

Moving is an important part of our lives, yet with all the technology we are moving less, hence feeling more pain, discomfort and limited-range-of-motion. Through yoga and thai bodywork Janel develops sequences that will help you move better and use your body efficiently with less pain – from picking up your children to carrying bags of groceries. She believes it is essential to know WHY you are practicing or moving in a specific manner as it will help you remember and practice more often. Stress relief and deep relaxation are some of the numerous side effects.

Janel DuRoss is a vivacious yoga teacher, Thai Bodywork, designer and superfood aficionado. A much loved personal yoga practice is Janel’s release to feel alive in her body and mind. Janel teaches yoga, meditation, Thai Bodywork and related movement workshops in NJ and NYC. Her ambition is to provide the tools to inspire you to dig deeper, so that you can learn how to feel awesome in your body.

Stacey Accardo

A natural born athlete, Stacey excelled in sports as she possessed an infallible determination and dedication. As captain of her High School & College track teams, she proved to be a consummate leader as she brought her teams to many victories. In keeping with her insatiable thirst for health and fitness, Stacey became a Registered Nurse as she continued to participate in competitive sports through triathlons. She truly found her calling when she was introduced to Yoga. After experiencing a complete transformation in her life, both body and soul, Stacey felt compelled to bestow this newfound knowledge to others so that they too could experience the profound impact it has had on her life. She went on to receive her certification through Yoga Synthesis in Ramsey by Raji Thron. Stacey is married and has three beautiful children who also participate in the practice of Yoga.

Kate Decock

Kate has been teaching yoga since 2004, when she completed her first teacher training at the Bikram College of India in Los Angeles. She has also completed her Ashtanga teacher training at Pure Yoga NYC and Pre-Natal training at YogaWorks in NYC and has taught at studios in Chicago, Ithaca, New York and New Jersey. A former runner, Kate first stepped onto a yoga mat in 2002. She was instantly hooked and has never stepped off. She welcomes the physical challenges, but is even more passionately drawn to the mind and spiritual connection of a consistent yoga practice. Kate is honored to have the opportunity to share her love of yoga with others and hopes students will find a place of peace on the mat that remains with them off the mat.

Hot Flow/Hot power/Hot vinyasa - Call it what you want, it’s one of our favorite classes! Power yoga offers an excellent way to tone & strengthen muscles, increase heart rate, and burn calories…and then some! The hot room, 95˚ will make you sweat giving your body an awesome detoxification. Challenge yourself, feel great, and prepare to power through the rest of your day… or evening. This all levels class has plenty of instruction for beginners, and some optional, more advanced poses such as arm balances and inversions to challenge more experienced yogis.
